Psalm 151

Puer meus eram

  1. I was the least among my brethren, and the youngest in the house of my father.
  2. I kept the sheep of my father's flock; my hands did fashion a harp, and my fingers framed a psaltery.
  3. And who shall declare it unto my Lord? The Lord himself, he heareth all.
  4. He sent forth his angel unto me, and took me from the sheep of my father, and anointed me with the oil of his anointing.
  5. My brethren were comely and tall, yet the Lord delighted not in them.
  6. I went forth to meet the Philistine, and he cursed me by his idols.
  7. But I drew his own sword and smote him, and took away the reproach from the children of Israel.
